We would like to announce a distribution of $52,000 in grants to four organizations in the 1Q of 2016. Additionally, the Foundation distributed over $106,000 to various organizations for further community support.
Grants for this quarter included Habitat for Humanity, WHS Band Parents Association, Groundwork Elizabeth and the Alzheimer’s Association. Funds will be used for purchase of new uniforms for the marching band, an ongoing respite care program, ongoing building expenses and the purchase of passenger van.
Additional monies distributed in the first quarter will be used toward college scholarships for Westfield students, a summer youth employment program, and support for various programs including a local orchestra.
