I’m now on the path to becoming the first member of my family to earn a college degree, and it all started thanks to the support of The Westfield Foundation.

This scholarship has enabled me to pursue my goal of becoming a teacher. It’s made me feel supported in more than a financial way — knowing there are people encouraging me and believing in me as I pursue my dream.

This scholarship removed such a big financial burden and gave me the opportunity to focus on my classes and my experience. I know I’m being trusted with something that’s more than just a scholarship.

After unexpected hardships in high school, attending college seemed impossible. The scholarship gave me the means to do so — and reassured me that I had the support of others in pursuing a higher education.

All of this would not have been possible without the support that I received through The Foundation and these scholarships - with these, I was able to focus on my studies throughout my undergraduate and graduate career where I did not have to worry about how I would financially afford my education.

The Keller Memorial Music Award for Excellence in Violin motivated me to pursue my interest in violin and pushed me to practice hard and audition for the NJ Youth Symphony Orchestra. The work of the foundation can inspire the youth of the community.

I put my education on pause for 18 months and was a missionary for the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Chile. Because of this scholarship to help me with my tuition, I am able to serve others because others are helping me.

The Innovation Classroom has not only provided space for multiple sections of an introductory engineering course, it has allowed the teacher to design a second course to leverage the state of the art features of the classroom. Students have access to a facility and materials that were not available to them prior to The Westfield Foundation funding and these students are now better prepared for STEM college coursework and careers.
Westfield Public Schools
Thanks to The Westfield Foundation and their generosity, we were able to renovate the common areas of Peggy's House, the Center's Scotch Plains residence. These spaces have multiple uses for patients and families to enjoy holidays, special occasions, entertainment, activities, or even a quiet place to sit and enjoy the company of family and friends.
Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care
A special thanks to The Westfield Foundation’s partial funding during the pandemic. Thanks to this funding we were able to continue programming four days a week during the pandemic which was essential to avoid the harmful effects of social isolation.

CASA of Union County continues to be extremely grateful for the commitment by The Westfield Foundation to both our mission and the vulnerable youth we serve. Your partnership helps us do the work we -- and our tireless volunteer advocates -- do every day. Abuse doesn't take a holiday and isn't going anywhere, but through support from Westfield Foundation, we can continue to make a difference every day for the children depending on us and awaiting a safe and permanent home.
